Some of you (or maybe none of you) are wondering how my garden is doing. I am here to report so far, so good. Most of my plants are still alive. I have also potted some new plants and have been surprised by some new discoveries I have made in my garden.
The Colorado wildflower seeds that I planted in March are starting to bloom. There are some real pretty yellow and purple flowers sprouting up. I planted some more seeds in May. I hope those bloom as well. The Columbine plants are still going strong and fingers cross they continue.
Unfortunately, two of my potted daisies refuse to bloom. They have green leaves which gives me hope, but I have yet to spy a flower. Another unfortunate event has to do with the rose bush. It’s not doing well. Instead of healthy green leaves it’s growing ugly red leaves. I’ve added fertilizer, but to no avail. If anyone has any advice on rose bushes let me know.
Good news! I found tiny strawberries in one of our garden beds! The previous owner must have planted them. I am hoping they grow well so we can eat a few.
Just in case you were wondering the gnomes are doing well. We even purchased a new gnome, because you can never have too many gnomes.
Summer has just begun and I know I still have a long way to go before Fall hits. My hope is to revive the rose bush and see some more of those wildflowers bloom. In the mean time I will keep on watering and weeding!
