My Daughter

End Of The Year Ballet Recital.

There comes a moment in every parent’s life when you must attend a recital. It’s tough. They’re long, they’re stressful, and by the end of the day you find yourself feeding your family frozen pizza and shoving your child off to bed.

Are they worth it?

Yes.

Being an introvert I find these events to be stressful. I’m surrounded by too many people and spending way too much time with all these people. It’s not my cup of tea. However, there was a lot to enjoy.

I enjoyed spending time with other Mom’s who had their three year-olds performing.

I learned a great deal about being organized and staying calm.

I was filled with pride and joy watching my daughter perform.

I loved remembering all the hard work that was put into this to reach that moment.

I loved seeing my daughter smile.

Will we do this again next year?

Yes.

I can’t promise that Katie will want to dance every year. I leave that up to her. However, we are enjoying it for now.
