New Home. New Repairs.

Around August or was it September? I can’t remember because it’s 6 am right now and my brain isn’t functioning yet. Anyway, we have only been living in our new home for roughly five months now and I do believe this house may have something against us. Now, I know houses do not have feelings and I am not one to believe in curses or bad luck. I tell you though, we have had to call a lot of repair companies lately.

It started out with a leaky pipe that took awhile to locate, then the ovens shut down, the dishwasher gushed out a river of water when turned on, and finally the furnace just stopped working.

If you find this amusing house you need to stop!

I am just waiting for the next appliance to stop working. Pray it isn’t the Kuerig.

Logically, I know that this house is an older home and some of the appliances are older too. I do realize that all in all the issues we have had have been easily fixed.

The pipe was replaced by an amazing plumber.

The oven just had a fuse burn out no big deal.

The dishwasher just had too many bubbles in it. It was over sudsy. Is that a thing?

The furnace, well the repairman just duck taped a little toggle down and bingo it worked again.

I just find it ironic that the first home we have ever owned is having issues one after another. Though I have heard from other homeowners this will never end.

There are many things to be thankful for. We have a roof over our heads, all the problems have been fixed, and I meet some pretty amazing repairmen who do an amazing job.

Just keep that Kuerig running.
